Sometimes in our Christian journey, we can't see our next steps. We have to trust the path God has planned out for us.
Hey GEM girls! While driving down a windy mountain road the other night, I encountered some very dense fog. It was so dense I could barely see just a few feet ahead of the car. The best thing I could do was to slow down a little bit, keep the low-beam lights on, watch for brake lights, and most importantly, focus on keeping the car in the lines.
That got me thinking a little bit. Sometimes the road on our Christian journey is relatively clear, and we feel confident in knowing that God's going to get us through. Everything seems to be going just fine.
But sometimes the night is dark, and the road is foggy. We start to get nervous. We can't see our next steps, and our faith in God begins to fail. "Why is God leading me this way? Couldn't He just let me see why? What is the purpose of all this? Me, of all people?"
Yes, I'm beyond guilty of this one. There have been countless times I've asked God these questions. Honestly, I still don't understand some of the reasons behind all of my most difficult battles, some of which I'm still fighting. Oh yes, it has been hard. But I've been learning that God has always been leading me, no matter how difficult things have gotten.
"Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass." -Psalms 37:5
In those difficult and dark moments, remember who's holding your hand. Remember all the dark spots He's gotten you through. Remember who's brought you this far on your journey. God didn't bring you this far just to leave you on your own. Keep trusting in Him, He is faithful even though it may not always seem like it.
Praying for you!💕
Blessings!
