"But I'm not good enough! There are others who are better!"

Hey GEM girls! Maybe you've heard that statement before or maybe have even said it yourself. We all have insecurities in some way, don't we?
There are some people in the Bible who had insecurities as well. Let's look at a few examples.
In Exodus 3, God spoke to Moses through a burning bush. He asked Moses to lead the enslaved children of Israel out of Egypt. Several times, Moses made excuses as to why he should not be the one to do it. "Why should I be the one to do it? They won't believe me! I'm not an eloquent speaker!"
In 1 Kings 19, Queen Jezebel threatened to kill Elijah when she heard about everything that had happened on Mount Carmel. When Elijah heard this, he was afraid and ran far away into the wilderness. Later, God asked him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
God sent Aaron to be a spokesman for Moses, and God gave Elijah the courage and strength to leave his hiding place in the wilderness (I encourage you to check out the full stories in Exodus 3 &4, and 1 Kings 19!).
Sometimes you may just lack the confidence to do certain things (like Moses), or you're constantly doing things so you can look good. It is good for us as humans to understand that we can't do anything without God's help. But when we trust in God, we'll have the boldness and confidence to conquer anything God has in store for us.
You'll be able to find happiness when you understand that God can and will give you everything you need. All we have to do is ask. "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
Have there been any insecurities that you have been able to overcome? How were you able to overcome them?
Blessings!

I used to be really shy and quiet when meeting new people. Something about talking to someone I didn't know kinda scared me, I don't know why. I had a friend that told me to get out of my comfort zone and make new people feel welcome because they probably felt the same way about me that I felt about them! Now, I'm outgoing and I love meeting new people! 😊
