Never Stop Growing

Your beloved rose bush is either growing or dying. There's no middle ground here.

Hey GEM girls! I'm sure we all have seen plants grow, like flowers in the fields- or maybe even the grass in the yard that seems to grow an inch every day in the summertime. We also see plants die, like summer vegetables that begin to wilt after an early frost, or leaves that fall off of the trees in autumn.

Have you ever noticed that all of these plants either grow or die? Trees drop their leaves in autumn because temperatures drop, and the conditions aren't suitable for it to grow anymore. Then the leaves turn beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow as the leaves die and fall to the ground. The leaves will either grow or die. There's no in-between.

The same thing goes for us as Christians. If we're not growing closer to God, then we're drawing away from Him. It's easy to hold off on things and "wait for later." But God is calling us, and He's calling us now. If we're not growing, we're dying.

"As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving." -Colossians 2:6-7

How can you grow closer to God this week? Let me know in the comments! 😊♥️

Blessings!
