Have you ever felt alone in the midst of a group of people you call your friends?

Hi GEM girls! I have started feeling this way over the past couple of months. It is difficult to hang around with people you call your friends when everyone is on different paths in life. For example, if you're trying to get a closer walk with Christ, but those in your friend circle aren't, well, life can get pretty tough.

So, when you're feeling lonely or like you have no plan for your life, what should you do? Mope around, feel sorry for yourself, and worsen those feelings? No, absolutely not. Here are some tips on things you can do.

• Jesus Himself said that He will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). You will always have a friend. So have a mini date with God. Find a quiet place in your house or backyard and have a mini personal Bible study. Bring a Bible, a journal, and your heart. You could also go on a prayer walk in your neighborhood, praying for everyone in each house you pass by.

• Join the Sisterhood! GEM girls is a great opportunity for connecting with other like-minded Christian teen girls and growing in you walk with God!

• Become a tourist in your own town. If it is possible, plan a family field trip to a museum or national park nearby.

• Clean your room and create a vision/mood board. Whenever I don't feel 100% mentally, I clean up my room and my schoolwork space. Somehow it helps declutter my mind as well. As for the vision board, finding pictures that help you focus on what your ideal life would be like helps you achieve your goals. For example, if you're graduating high school this year and you've lost your motivation to study, add a picture of a graduation cap and/or images of what your dream job would be.

Most importantly, spend time praying for your friends. Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have against Satan. ⚔️
