Sometimes the path ahead isn't clear, and you don't know exactly how to move on.
Hey GEM girls! Have you ever been in a situation where you weren't exactly sure what to do? Have you ever caught yourself worrying about the future? Sometimes it can be hard when we don't know exactly what we should do in a situation, or if we don't know how something will turn out in the end.
My life has been quite unpredictable over the past few years. From moving several times, spending months doing ministry with my family in places far from home, and fighting my own personal battles, it's been a wild road. Even though I still don't know what the rest of this year will look like, I'm so thankful for all that I have learned (and am still learning) through the craziness and unpredictability of my life. One of the most important lessons God has been teaching me is to trust Him in the dark, when everything seems hopeless and when I don't know what's ahead.
Even though we can't always see what's ahead, we can have faith that God has it all under control. In Hebrews 11:1 we see that "...faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Sure, it would be so much easier if we knew everything that was ahead and exactly how to handle it. But although it may not seem like it, trials, uncertainties, and hardships help to build our trust in God and strengthen our faith.
Sometimes, God will show us exactly what His plan is for us. But sometimes, the path isn't clear, and we are unsure of what to do. It could be your plans for this summer or after high school, which school to attend, or which things are truly important in your life. It can be easy to worry and stress about things we can't see.
When things in your life seem to be uncertain, when you don't know exactly where to go or what to do, look to Jesus. Amidst the confusion and chaos of this world, we can find hope and comfort in knowing that He has everything under control. He has a plan even though we may not be able to see it right now. Pray and ask Him to show you His plan in His timing. When it's hard to trust, ask God to multiply your faith and give you a willing heart to believe.
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." -Matthew 6:34
